Mathematics:Algebraic expression

 Algebraic Expression is the combination of numbers and letters  Example:2x+3=5x-2 find x Solution 1. Collect like terms     To collect like terms you have to pick terms that are similar to each other. ie 5x and 2x put them aside then +3 and -2 are like terms then you simply,5x is bigger than 2x so 5x comes first then to convert each of them to like terms you have to take 2x to where 5x is, so in the process the sign will change if it is plus it will change to minus but if it is minus it would change to plus , so the equation is now 5x-2x=3+2 = 3x=5.   so x=1 2/3(one whole number two over three) if you want me to post another topic comment and follow or if you want continuation of this topic comment yes
